There are so many touch points where pharmacists can identify patients that are candidates for herpes zoster vaccination.  Opportunities taken that could result in preventing its’ many consequences. Consider the healthy 50-year-old coming for a renewal of their thyroid medication; the 30-year patient with rheumatoid arthritis who comes for their first prescription of a disease modifying agent or a long-standing patient who tells you they were going to be receiving treatment for cancer.
