Description

The letter arrives on a Tuesday at 4:40 p.m. What you do before Friday decides more than anything you write afterward.

Every pharmacist is one prescription away from a College complaint, and almost no one is ready for the first three days. Handled on instinct, they look like this: a quick email to “clear things up,” a call to the complainant, a note added to the record, a friendly chat with the investigator. Each one feels like cooperation. Each one becomes evidence. By the time anyone thinks to call a lawyer, the mistakes have been made, and no response, however well written, can take them back.

This session covers what the College’s letter does not tell you: what to preserve and what never to touch, who to call and in what order, what to say — and not say — when the investigator phones, how to ask for time without looking evasive, and which decisions to make once, deliberately, with the full record in hand.

It also covers how to manage the investigation itself: controlling who speaks to the College and when, handling requests for records and interviews, dealing with your employer and the complainant, and building a written response that closes the file instead of opening new questions.

When the letter comes, the first 72 hours can change everything. Spend one of those hours here.
