In nearly 40 years of practice, pharmacist Linda Gutenberg has worked in nearly every
role in community pharmacy. From Pharmacy Manager in rural and remote locations, to Director of Pharmacy Operations for a 37 store independent chain in BC and Alberta and now acting as Pharmacy Operations Lead for the Heart Group of stores on Vancouver Island, Linda has experienced practice in many different settings.
Linda's passion for pharmacy has never wavered. Helping to move the profession forward and removing barriers for implementation of new services and new scopes of practice continues to be her driving force today.
Providing a work environment where everyone can practice at the top of their scope of practice is a balancing act that is ever changing. Our new Entry to Practice Doctor of Pharmacy graduates today are looking for a pharmacy practice that allows them the time and support to be able to provide the clinical services they were taught in school, and melding that with the existing pharmacy teams in a way that provides exceptional customer service and balances the desire for clinical practice with the needs of the dispensing function is a balancing act that Linda has navigated with some success in her career.
