In private practice since graduating from the Université de Montréal School of Optometry, Dr. Piuze spends most of his time in the clinic with his patients. His approach prioritizes highly individualized care and is based on mutual trust. He has primarily worked in multidisciplinary clinics and refractive surgery clinics in close collaboration with ophthalmologists.

Since 2016, he has been co-owner of EyeAm Eye Care, four clinics in Quebec City and the Montreal area where he practices optometry with a particular interest in the management of ocular surface diseases and the fitting of specialty contact lenses. In connection with these areas of expertise, Dr. Piuze frequently gives conferences, training workshops, webinars and acts as a consultant for several companies in the eye care industry. More specifically, his expertise is focused on the integration of innovative approaches into regular practice and the development of new business models in optometry.

He co-founded the Quebec Dry Eye Symposium held from 2016 to 2019 where he was the medical director and main moderator.
