Heba BaniHani is a Canadian pharmacist with over 20 years experience in patient care with a special focus on migraine. She is the founder of the Migraine pharmacist: a practice that focuses on supporting people living with migraine in Canada and around the world.
Currently the first Pharmacist & Canadian accepted to the prestigious MSc of headache at the university of Copenhagen she is working on her research on the demographics of people living with migraine and the potential role of pharmacists in bridging the gaps of care that exist today in the Canadian healthcare system.
Heba held the position of the Sr program manager of The Migraine Pharmacy Network from 2021-2023, a program that trains pharmacists on headache and migraine management, and frequently collaborates with other healthcare professionals on optimizing care for people living with migraine.
Alongside her work, she is a member of Migraine Canada’s scientific committee tasked with creating a national training program for Canadian pharmacists on migraine, and hosts a monthly webinar titled Ask Your Pharmacist” educating patients on pharmacists’ value in migraine management.
Heba is part go the expert members of the association of migraine disorders , and previously held the position of Program director of the Migraine Science Collaborative, both organizations in the USA.
She works with pharmacists associations across the country and internationally to bring pharmacists' education on migraine to all who seek it.
She is a visiting lecturer at the University of Waterloo- faculty of pharmacy on headache disorders and management.
She volunteers her time biweekly with the Canadian migraine society’s chronic migraine Facebook group to answer questions of close to 3000 members.
