Description
ScriptPro is a privately held technology company founded in 1994 by Mike Coughlin. The company employs approximately 750 people. ScriptPro is focused on making ambulatory healthcare work better for patients and the health professionals that serve them. ScriptPro developed the first robotic
prescription dispensing system for retail and ambulatory pharmacies, the SP200 Robotic Prescription Dispensing System. Mike's vision was that robotics could prevent basic mechanical errors that were causing harm to patients by dispensing the wrong drug or strength or by making errors in prescription label instructions. It was also clear that robots could help pharmacies operate more efficiently and free
up pharmacist time to focus on patient care.
As the company expanded, Mike and the management team soon realized there was a strong need for other advanced technologies in retail and ambulatory healthcare. In 2003, ScriptPro released an overall pharmacy workflow system, enabled with telepharmacy to reach underserved areas. This platform has been used to provide pharmacy services to remote populations in the U.S. and Canada.
Today, ScriptPro systems operate in thousands of independent, chain, hospital, supermarket, and government pharmacies. Many large chain pharmacies have standardized operations around the ScriptPro robotic model. Leading hospitals in the U.S and around the world use ScriptPro systems to ensure accuracy and patient safety.
ScriptPro has grown through invention and product development rather than through acquisition. It owns the core technologies utilized, and manufactures, sells, installs, and supports all of its products.
It is ScriptPro’s mission to continue to provide systems that change the practice of pharmacy. To achieve these goals the company places a high priority on relationships with its employees, customers and vendors. ScriptPro has a group of talented, motivated and loyal individuals who constitute a vibrant team. The company values character and trustworthiness and cultivates a work environment that is conducive to creativity and excellence.
