: Pharmacists have been the go-to resource in health, wound care is no different, except few pharmacies and pharmacists are prepared to provide wound care. Wound care is often self-managed and patients are at a loss when trying to identify the most suitable products to use and how to apply them. Not only do Pharmacists need to know what products to stock for sale, but those pharmacists who are able to recognize those patients who are at high risk for wounds and poor wound healing, and are able to educate clients on proper technique and use of products will open up new opportunities to develop loyalty and a new service. The goal for everyone with a wound on the skin is to avoid infection, rapid healing, and no scarring. This session is focused on helping pharmacists achieve these goals for their clients.
