Speaker Bio
Jaclyn Katelnikoff is a senior clinical advisor on the AdhereRx team as part of a strategic alliance with her private consulting practice, JKAT Health Solutions, which aims to inspire and mentor pharmacists to change their practices through clinical implementation and the use of the pharmacist-at-intake (p@i) workflow.
Jaclyn was born and raised in Sparwood, BC, in the heart of the mountains. She moved to the prairies to attend the University of Alberta, where she obtained her BSc in Pharmacology (2005) and BSc in Pharmacy (2009). She began her career at Stafford Pharmacy in the summer of 2009, where she was first introduced to the p@i model. Jaclyn obtained her Advanced Prescribing Authority (APA) in 2013 and leveraged this tool to advance her clinical practice.
She practiced in Alberta for 12 years before moving to Saskatchewan with her family in 2020. It was there that she recognized the immense value of the full scope of practice Alberta pharmacists enjoyed and began advocating for change across Canada. After one brief year outside of the p@i workflow, Jaclyn found herself drawn back to it, this time at Saskatoon Family Pharmacy, where she currently practices. In addition to her clinical work, Jaclyn has a deep passion for compounding, with over 15 years of experience in both sterile and non-sterile settings.
Jaclyn shares her insights as a regular columnist for Pharmacy Practice + Business magazine, where she writes The Starting Point, focusing on leadership, innovation, and the future of pharmacy. She also speaks nationally on these themes. Her recent presentations include Leadership in Practice: Developing Leadership Skills for Pharmacists and Technicians at the Pharmacy Association of Saskatchewan Annual Conference, and Teamwork Makes the Dream Work: Enhancing Efficiency and Patient Care at the Canadian Association of Pharmacy Technicians (CAPT) Conference, co-presented with pharmacy technician Justine Magnus.
In her “spare” time, Jaclyn can be found chasing her two boys, Max and Rory, around hockey rinks and golf courses or expanding her ever-growing plant collection.
