Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) affects children and adults across the lifespan and is increasingly encountered in community pharmacy practice. Yet despite its prevalence, ADHD remains widely misunderstood and often challenging to manage. In this session, Dr. Jamie Kellar will provide a practical overview of ADHD care for community pharmacists. Participants will review the epidemiology and presentation of ADHD, explore pharmacologic treatment options, and examine key considerations in medication management, including pharmacokinetics, side effects, and the role of generic formulations. The session will also challenge common myths surrounding ADHD and highlight opportunities for pharmacists to support patients, collaborate with prescribers, and play a meaningful role in improving ADHD care in their communities.
