License on the Line: Everyday Pharmacy Habits That Lead to Discipline
Date & Time

Description

Many pharmacists are unknowingly doing things in daily practice that can trigger College or payor investigations—stepping out and leaving the dispensary unattended “just for a minute,” billing blister packs more frequently than permitted, cutting corners on documentation, slipping on privacy, or missing narcotic reconciliation issues. This session puts those behaviours under a spotlight and shows exactly how to correct them.

  • The session is built around real disciplinary, inspection, and audit scenarios (fully de-identified), walking through what actually happens when a concern is reported, what investigators look for, and how decisions are made.
  • Participants leave with concrete tools they can use immediately: a co-branded one-page “High-Risk Habits Checklist” and a “First 24 Hours If the College Calls” action guide. These are designed to be printed, posted in the pharmacy, and referred to in team meetings, keeping the sponsor’s name front and centre in a genuinely helpful way.
  • The sponsor is closely associated with helping pharmacists protect their licenses, reputations, and businesses, which is a high-trust, high-gratitude space. Co-branded materials, QR-code downloads, and follow-up resources create meaningful sponsor visibility and qualified engagement, rather than just another logo on a slide.
  • The topic cuts across staff pharmacists, managers, owners, and technicians in both community and specialty practice, speaking directly to issues they are already worried about but rarely discuss openly. That combination of relevance, candour, and practical takeaways makes this a session pharmacists are likely to prioritize attending and recommend to colleagues.
