Description

Shingles prevention is one of the most impactful interventions pharmacists can make for at-risk patients; but many questions arise when we’re dealing with specific patients: How long does the vaccine last? What if my patient never had chicken pox? What about patients on immunosuppressive therapy? What if my patient develops a case of shingles before their second dose?

This session will focus on incorporating vaccination in a wholistic manner for each of your patients, the role of minor ailment prescribing for shingles and answering all the tricky questions you may have about shingles vaccination.
