This session is designed to educate pharmacy professionals on the most recent trends and developments in influenza epidemiology and vaccination among the 65 years and older population, and discuss the relevance and evidence of real-world effectiveness in the ever-changing landscape of influenza. It will also review the recent global influenza guidelines and public programs for older adults.

Attendees will learn about the importance of influenza vaccination for older adults, and will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to effectively operationalize an influenza vaccination campaign in their pharmacy setting. This will include identifying and targeting at-risk patient populations, developing strategies for patient engagement and education, and understanding the benefits of offering influenza vaccinations in their pharmacy setting. By the end of this session, participants will be better equipped to protect their patients from the flu and promote public health.
